Neurodyn Compact Description
NEURODYN COMPACT has been designed according to existing technical standards for the construction of medical devices (NBR NBR IEC 60601-1 IEC 60601-1-2 and IEC 60601-2-10 NBR).
Essential Performance: NEURODYN COMPACT is a device to apply electrical current via electrodes in contact with patients with neuromuscular disorder therapy . It is a neuromuscular stimulator for transcutaneous FES and TENS currents. The technique involves the application of mild electrical stimulation through electrodes placed in body area affected by pain (TENS), or activate the skeletal muscles and produce movements (FES). This technique is noninvasive, without systemic effects, not addictive and has no side effects. The current intensity required for treatment depends on the the patient’s sensitivity. Therefore, the treatment should be started with minimum levels of intensity (very low), increasing up carefully to achieve the proper effect to the procedure and according to the patient’s report
NEURODYN COMPACT case has modern design with front panel that enables the therapist to easily adjust the equipment. This is a transcutaneous neuromuscular stimulator of two channels with adjustable independent intensity which generate TENS and FES currents . It allows the choice of T (pulse duration) of 50 us 500 us and R (repetition frequency of pulses) of 0.5 Hz to 250 Hz The selection of these parameters (T and R) is made though a touching keyboard with the information shown on the liquid crystal display.
NEURODYN COMPACT enables the following types of chains:
1 – TENS: conventional TENS, acupuncture, brief and intense.
2 – VIF TENS: TENS with automatic variation of intensity and frequency.
3 – TENS B: BURST TENS (TENS modulated pulse trains to 2Hz).
4 – S FES: FES synchronized.
5 – R FES: FES reciprocal.
6 – O VIF FES: FES synchronized with automatic variation of intensity and frequency.
7 – R FES: FES Reciprocal with automatic variation of the intensity and frequency.
PRODUCT FEATURES
NEURODYN COMPACT is a device designed to continuous operation mode. It uses technology which ensures the accuracy of the values shown. The accuracy of this operation in accordance with the provisions of particular standard for safety equipment for neuromuscular stimulation – NBR IEC 60601-2-10, Clause 50 / subclauses 50.1 and 50.2. The amplitude control continuously monitors the output current intensity from the minimum to the maximum and minimum value does not exceed 2% of value at maximum position. The parameters such as waveform output, pulse duration, pulse repetition frequency, amplitude range of output current do not differ by more than 30% listed in the following technical description.
The values of the durations of pulses and pulse repetition frequency described here were measured at 50% of the maximum amplitude of the output. These parameters are for a load impedance in the range of 820 ohms to 1200 ohms. The effect of load impedance parameters described is very important. If the equipment operate outside the load impedance range specified , there may be inaccuracy in the values of the parameters, as well as modification of the waveforms described here.
NEURODYN COMPACT is a CLASS I, single-phase equipment with a Type BF applied part of safety and security.
